Course Description
Introduction to design and development of Web-based systems. Includes Internet and Web technology; Web development using design procedures, HTML, and XML; and hands-on experience in website design and authoring. General Ed., Block VII.
Course Objectives
  1. Explain the essential concepts underlying hypertext/hypermedia, its applications, and its impacts to society
  2. Explain the process of creating hypertext-based Web documents and databases
  3. Use HTML tags for the construction of Web documents
  4. Use XML for the development of data contents
  5. Integrate XML data contents with HTML files to publish the information-rich documents to the Web
