Course Description
Introduction to design and development of Web-based systems. Includes
Internet and Web technology; Web development using design procedures,
HTML, and XML; and hands-on experience in website design and authoring. General Ed., Block VII.
Course Objectives

Explain the essential concepts underlying hypertext/hypermedia, its applications, and its impacts to society
- Explain the process of creating hypertext-based Web documents and databases
- Use HTML tags for the construction of Web documents
- Use XML for the development of data contents
- Integrate XML data contents with HTML files to publish the information-rich documents to the Web
